Volunteering

For Rose of Sharon, volunteers make all the difference in the world! Though they come from all walks of life and all ages and stages, they have one thing in common; the desire to make a difference in their community and in their own lives by giving of themselves and sharing their precious time.

We believe that our agency goals and objectives are best achieved by the active participation of members of the community. Our volunteers play an important role within our agency, using their existing skills and experiences and creating opportunities for both their growth and ours. They are a precious resource to us and our clients. The experience and support they provide is truly invaluable and their work within Rose of Sharon gives us a wonderful link to our community.

Some of our volunteers give a few hours at a time each week, while others devote many hours. Some are involved in one-time events, and others make an ongoing commitment. Whether they work on their own or with others, do hands-on work, or volunteer at an administrative or leadership level, all of our volunteers contribute to the success of our agency.
