Dream Halloween!

Six regional charities have joined forces to create the Dream Halloween ~ An evening of Philanthropy event, to benefit the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region, Big Brothers Big Sisters of York, Character Community Foundation, Doane House Hospice, Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers and the Women’s Centre of York Region. This joint effort is a wonderful representation of charities working together to expand their outreach and meet the needs of many at-risk groups within our community.

Dream Halloween will feature a number of regional ‘stars’ vying for the title of Dream Philanthropist of 2012. The aim of Dream Halloween is to recognize individuals who have contributed both financially, and through their volunteer efforts, toward improved quality of daily life in York Region.

Taking place on October 25th at Carrying Place Golf and Country Club in Kettleby, Ontario, this fabulous event will feature an evening of gourmet dining, live/silent auctions, costume contest, entertainment and crowning of our Dream Philanthropist with an audience of 300 guests. Ticket are $100 each or $175 a pair. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.dreamhalloween.ca.

Thank you Our Lady of Hope CES

Rose of Sharon would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and students at Our Lady of Hope CES for their generous donation of food vouchers, toiletries and other baby items that they collected over the holiday season. These items were warmly received by our young families.

Thank you XE.com!

Rose of Sharon would like to thank XE.com for their generous annual  donation of $4000. For seven years, XE.com has chosen Rose of Sharon as one of their principal charities continuing to demonstrate their appreciation for the wellbeing of our young families and contributing $30,000 to our programs! We are so grateful for their tremendous support and commitment they have shown to our young mothers over the years.
