Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers is a not-for-profit, charitable organization providing support and educational services to prenatal and parenting young women under the age of 25 across York Region.
Since 1985, we have given young mothers the opportunity to work towards their goals in a supportive, learning-centered environment while parenting their young children. With the generous support of our community, we are able to enhance the lives of young women and their families. We are the only agency providing these services in the region and the need for our services continues to grow each year.
Rose of Sharon needs your help! We are in search of community partners to collect clothing, toys, food and toiletries for moms and their children this Christmas.

For the past six years the Sisters of the Good Shepherd have explored innovative ways to build a stronger network of Good Shepherd agencies and programs across North America. Their ultimate desire is to ensure that the special commitment and values behind Good Shepherd mission endures as a lasting legacy. They partner, where they can, to strengthen the resolve of the lay professionals to manage and lead the agencies established by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd.
HandCrafting Justice is a fellow nonprofit sponsored by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. The organization operates internationally to promote economic justice through marketing Fair Trade crafts made by women in the developing world. HandCrafting Justice works exclusively with international sites sponsored by the Good Shepherd International Foundation in over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, but our mission is much the same as any Good Shepherd sponsored agency—to advocate for the dignity and right to succeed for struggling communities.
